ST. PAUL, Minn. - Neighbors of a Taco Bell in St. Paul say the restaurant's new breakfast menu and the expanded drive-through hours that go with it are making their lives difficult.
Kristine and Mark Vesley says while the restaurant at 565 North Snelling Avenue is open until 5 a.m. on weekends, a new 7 a.m. start for breakfast means the drive-through intercom is a nearly round-the-clock disruption.
The Vesleys told city officials Taco Bell should have gotten approval before it extended business hours and added breakfast. Taco Bell says it's operating within the perimeters of its zoning permit. The zoning board has rejected the couple's request for public input on the matter.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press says the Vesleys have 10 days to decide whether to appeal the board's decision to the City Council.
