MINNEAPOLIS - Ra'Shede Hageman has the potential to be the first Minnesota player picked in the first round of the NFL draft in eight years.

The defensive tackle made enough of an impression at the league's scouting combine last weekend that he skipped the skills testing at the annual pro day workout on the university campus on Monday.

Hageman took part in position drills for defensive linemen in front of scouts representing 19 different NFL teams.

Hageman measured at 6-foot-6 and 310 pounds at the combine. He has a lot of room left in his development, but his speed and athleticism for his size have helped set him apart among the prospects at his position.
