EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - Mike Zimmer quietly put together an impressive preseason as the new head coach of the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings went 4-0 and Zimmer says he's been very pleased with the work habits he's seen from his new players. But as smooth as things have gone early, Zimmer knows that none of that really matters now that the regular season is set to begin.

The Vikings open on Sunday at St. Louis in Zimmer's first regular season game as a head coach.

Vikings players have spoken highly of Zimmer's leadership and the approach the new coaching staff has taken with a team that went 5-10-1 last year.
