GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - The 2014 FIFA World Cup starts this Thursday in Brazil with Team USA playing next week.

Joining KARE 11 News @ 4 were two who'll watch the matchups with a lot of interest -- Minnesota United Head Coach Manny Lagos and Defender Justin Davis.

They gave their predictions as to who will win plus a preview of their exciting summer season.

Coming off a championship spring, the Minnesota United FC will face the Mexican Under-21 National Team on Friday, July 4 at the National Sports Center Stadium in Blaine. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Fans attending the match are encouraged to remain in the stadium for a fantastic fireworks display immediately following the game.

The international friendly is part of the Mexican Under-21 National Team's United States summer tour. This is the seventh straight year Minnesota United will host a game on July 4th, and the seventeenth in history.

Minnesota United will also host a historic match against Swansea City on July 19 at National Sports Center Stadium, marking the first time an English Premier League team will come play in Minnesota.

In addition, Minnesota United will play a North American Soccer League match at TCF Bank Stadium August 2nd following the Guinness International Champions Cup game between 2014 English Premier League Champions Manchester City and Greek club Olympiacos.
